Puppy Ping Pong

A fun training game for your dog to practice sitting on approach!

One person:

  • Call your dogs name and ask for a sit as they approach. Toss a treat away from you once dog sits, then call dog again to come back. This time, do not ask for a sit, just wait until they do it on their own. Once your dog sits, toss a treat away from you. Repeat.

2+ people

  • One person calls dogs name and asks for sit as they approach. Toss treat away from you once dog sits. Second person calls dogs name to approach, but don't ask for a sit, wait for dog to do it on their own. Once dog sits, they toss a treat away from them. Repeat.

What if he jumps?

Say "too bad" and turn away, do not toss treat. Let the next person call him. If you are doing it alone, move to a different area and call dog again to retry.
